Essentially, what the new Yes FT5G Discover Plan SIM card pack offers is the ability to utilise the national 5G network for free although it does have a validity period of 30 days. Unlike the existing Yes Prepaid FT5G Plan which costs RM30 per month and provides unlimited 7Mbps 4G access, the Discover Plan comes with a 10GB 4G data quota which is applicable for both normal smartphone and hotspot usage. As per our previous report, you need to own a compatible 5G phone in order to utilise the national 5G network which is being deployed and managed by Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB). At the same time, the 5G service is currently available only in Cyberjaya, Putrajaya, and select parts of Kuala Lumpur. That being said you may notice that the 5G service may also be available in areas that are located nearby these three cities if you take a close look at the coverage map on the Yes and DNB websites. Meanwhile, those who are interested to get their hands on the Yes FT5G Discover Plan SIM pack can do so by ordering it through the telco’s website right here or MyYes App.
