News about Xiaomi’s endeavour was first reported on the China-based ITHome. According to the report, the brand – known for its smartphones and appliances in its home country – is planning on launching a 34-inch ultra-wide gaming display with QHD+ resolution and the 21:9 aspect ratio. In addition, the monitor will also be curved and have a refresh rate of 144Hz. Sadly, there are no image renders of the display at this moment, official or fan concepts. Interestingly enough, we’re under the impression that Xiaomi already has a working unit, as the same report says that it plans on launching its gaming monitor sometime in the month of November. Guess we’ll just have to wait until then to see what the fuss is all about. It’s clear that Xiaomi is working hard on expanding its gaming portfolio, and seems to want to cater to all gamers across the spectrum. As mentioned at the start, the company launched its 2nd generation Mi Gaming Notebook in China earlier this week. That notebook comes packed with a 9th generation Intel Core CPU, up to 16GB DDR4 RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 discrete GPU. (Source: ITHome via GizmoChina // Image: GizmoChina)
