Warcraft: Orcs and Humans remains much like back in its day, except that it now works with today’s operating systems. Warcraft 2, on the other hand, will have two different modes including the higher resolution mode which also supports LAN multiplayer. If you want to play with your friends over the net though, you have to play the game in its classic SVGA graphics mode since Battle.net support is only available under this mode. In keeping with the theme, yes, it is indeed the classic version of Battle.net. If you need a quick history behind the series, the first Warcraft game was released back in 1994. The second game came out a year later, with its expansion following a year after. Because they were released over a decade and a half ago, it takes some getting used to if you’re a player of today’s real-time strategy (RTS) games. Warcraft: Orcs and Humans is now available on GOG for US$5.99 (~RM24) while the Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition which contains both the main game and its expansion is priced at US$9.99 (~RM41). GOG does offer a bundle that allows you to get both games for a single fee but at US$14.99 (~RM61), it would only save you a couple of Ringgits.
