So first let’s get that one out of the way. The merging of both Ubisoft Club and Uplay part of Ubisoft Connect doesn’t mean much. The Ubisoft Club is tied to your Ubisoft account, and grants you reward points for completing challenges in games. Uplay is, well, the desktop launcher for the publisher. Your accumulated points will be carried over to the new system when it goes live.

These games will also support cross-platform play and cross-platform saves. The latter is the real gamechanger, as it means you can play, say, Watch Dogs: Legion on PC, and then continue your progress on your PS4 or PS5. Speaking of which, Ubisoft Connect goes live on 29 October, the same day as Watch Dogs: Legion. Naturally, this means Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also support this new system. But for older games, only some will be making the transition. They are Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, For Honor, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Hyper Scape, Steep, Rainbow Six Siege and The Division 2.
