Getting into the Neo G9’s specifications, the gaming monitor retains the same 49-inch girth as the G9, but unlike the original, the panel on this year’s model is fitted with a Quantum Mini LED curved panel, along with Samsung’s Quantum Matrix Technology. To that end, the Neo G9 is VDE certified and has a QuantumHDR 2000 rating and with the Quantum Mini LED panel, the monitor has 2048 dimming Zones, along with a contrast ratio of 1000000:1. Further, the monitor also supports up to 12-bit colour, versus the standard 8-bit in almost every other commercially available monitor.
Then, as now, the Neo G9 is a dual QHD display with a native resolution of 5120 x 1440 pixels. In addition, its curvature is rated at 1000R and has an aspect ratio of 32:9, as well as a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz and a 1ms response time (GTG). Further, the monitor is also NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible and also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Price-wise, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 will retail at an SRP of US$2499 (~RM10582) though, at the time of writing, the company has not announced local availability and pricing.
