For the uninitiated, the game is a third-person shooter that features a reality-bending setting and story that takes inspiration from works by author H.P. Lovecraft and even film director David Lynch. As my colleague John Law describes it, “Control is a game where the protagonist is desperate for answers, even if it means sacrificing what little sanity she has left to a noir-ish themed, supernatural realm.” On top of being a gun-toting action title, the game also features a variety of supernatural powers such as telekinesis, levitation and even mind, well, control.
