According to Hemmerstoffer, the Realme GT 2 Pro will drastically depart from its predecessor or any other Realme phones in terms of design. On its back is a bulging visor-like camera array, which is shown to house three different cameras. Meanwhile, it will also feature a flat surrounding frame akin to that of previous and current generation iPhone models, but is suggested to match its colours with the GT 2 Pro’s overall theme.

— Sky Li (@skyli_realme) November 29, 2021 The leak did not provide any front view of the device, but the leakster (via 91Mobiles) says it will sport a 6.51-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. However, it was not specified if the screen is a flat panel or would feature curved edges a la most Android flagship-tier smartphones. Under the hood of the Realme GT 2 Pro is alleged to be Qualcomm’s latest chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen1, while the rest of its key internal hardware specs are pretty vague. To be more exact, OnLeaks claims that the phone will come with LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, a battery with 125W UltraDart fast charging support, and Android 12 via Realme UI 3.0 out of the box.

Apparently, Realme is also suggested to have partnered with Ricoh to provide its GR lenses to all three of the GT 2 Pro’s cameras. For those unfamiliar, these lenses are specialised in reducing ghosting and backlight resistance for image captures. Neither the leak nor the official announcement revealed when the Realme GT 2 Pro is expected to launch. However, Sky Li did mention that the upcoming flagship will be made available worldwide. As with some next-gen smartphone line-ups (with the possible exception of Xiaomi), it is likely we’ll be seeing Realme’s latest in the first quarter of the new year.
