The Basilisk V3 Pro has an ergonomic shape with 10+1 programmable buttons with on-board memory for a total of five profiles, weighing in at only 112g. It also uses Razer’s Gen-3 optical mouse switches; it’s only the third mouse so far to feature the switches other than the DeathAdder V3 Pro and the Viper V2 Pro. Of course, the mouse maintains the HyperScroll tilt wheel, which lets users switch between tactile cycling mode, smart-reel mode, free-spin scrolling mode, and virtual acceleration. As for how it connects, the device offers three methods: HyperSpeed Wireless with multi-device support, Bluetooth, or wired using a USB-C cable. The Basilisk V3 Pro is equipped with a Focus Pro 30K optical sensor, which, as you can guess from the name, has a maximum DPI setting of 30,000 with Smart Tracking, Motion Sync, and Asymmetric Cut-off. Being a gaming mouse, Razer saw fit to bombard it with a decked-out RGB system; the chroma lighting has 13 LEDs, each of which is programmable. Battery-wise, a single charge can last it for up to 90 hours when using HyperSpeed, although don’t expect the battery life to be as good when pairing it with the HyperPolling dongle. The device is also compatible with the Mouse Dock Pro and wireless charging puck, though they are sold in costlier bundles.
