The new Exynos W920 itself comes with dual Arm Cortex-A55 CPU cores and a Mali-G68 GPU. Together, they allowed the chip to deliver approximately 20% of improvement for CPU performance alongside 10 times more graphics firepower than its predecessor. The Exynos W920 is also equipped with Cortex-M55 which is a dedicated low-power display processor that Samsung is using to address the always-on display (AOD) mode on wearable devices. On a W920-based device, this dedicated processor would be activated instead of the main CPU when AOD mode is on which would lower down power consumption....

At a glance, the Galaxy A70 looks par for the course for a phone much under Samsung’s Galaxy A lineup. It’s also the largest among them all, and equal in size to the Galaxy A80. That said, using it is a pretty similar experience to using any other member of the Galaxy A line. It comes in a 6.7-inch form factor, with an accompanying Full HD+ Infinity-U display. It does feel a little tall compared to the other phones in the series, but it’s not immediately noticeable until you really take a closer look at it....

And one of the first things you’ll see in here is that it’s very vulnerable to water. The Samsung Galaxy Buds Live has its manual say explicitly to not get the device wet, or risk making it malfunction. Though the warning asking users to not wear it while swimming or showering is more commonplace, it sounds a little too harsh a warning for something that people expect to wear while working out....

In essence, the second folding smartphone of the company will have a 6.7-inch display when unfolded. This measures in at about the size of the Galaxy S10 5G. When folded, it shrinks down in size into a very pocketable square, much like a traditional clamshell phone. And since it’s a clamshell foldable smartphone, it will inevitably be compared to the Motorola Razr as well. New details on the phone include the fact that it will have a punch hole cutout for the front-facing camera....

If you can recall, the Galaxy Fold was supposed to be released back in April (May for Malaysia) after it was announced alongside the Galaxy S10 series. However, after a series of durability and usage issues encountered by early reviewers, the company has delayed its release at the very last minute in order to implement some improvements before rolling it out again into the market this month. Available as 4G and 5G variants, all Galaxy Fold owners will apparently receive 1-to-1 access to Samsung experts and an around-the-clock support hub through online or phone....

Hints of a 5G-capable Galaxy Note 10 was first discovered in a kernel source code. Analyzed by a member of XDA, who found the codename “davinci”. For those of you who are unaware, “davinci” is an internal codename used by Samsung as reference to the Galaxy Note 10. Specifically, the kernel source code lists down the codename as “davinci5G”, which is likely a reference to the phone in question. Additional information regarding the phone is scarce beyond this point....

ORIGINAL STORY (11:13 PM): While Samsung has yet to officially announce the pricing for the Galaxy Note20 series in Malaysia, someone managed to find out about it much earlier though. Based on a photo posted in Lowyat.NET Forums, it seems that a local telco may reveal it early. According to the photo posted by our forumer iSean which depicts the Maxis Zerolution program for the Galaxy Note20 series, the Galaxy Note20 Ultra is priced at RM 5199 while the Galaxy Note20 5G can be obtained for RM 4299....

Coinciding with this is the official Galaxy S10 series’ roadshow. Currently taking place at the Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur; Queensbay Mall, Penang; and AEON Mall, Tebrau City, Johor Bahru. If you’re still undecided about the phones, this is where you can get your hands on the device and give it a try. When you do decide to get the device, you’ll be getting freebies as well, depending on which device you get....

SamMobile reports that a number of affected users have taken it to the official Samsung forums with the issue since a month ago. This was when the phone was still hot off the oven. Many of these users claim to be using good cases, and have not dropped their phones, and yet cracks still appear. This has led some to believe it is a design flaw. The severity of the issue on the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra seems to vary as well....

According to SamMobile, this will come as part of the new One UI 3.1 that will ship with the Samsung Galaxy S21. The new overlay will bring other exclusive features to the new flagship, at least until it is made available for older devices. Though what they are exactly are not known just yet. Prominent leaker Ice Universe posted the name and an accompanying graphic in Twitter. Of course, there’s no way of knowing if this is really the case. If it is, it makes for an interesting naming convention. To be fair, the Z line isn’t exactly new for Samsung. As Engadget points out, the company once used the letter to represent its phones running Tizen OS. But to be fair, the phone back then was simply called the Samsung Z, rather than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip....

The new Trial and Buy campaign will allow consumers to try out Samsung’s Galaxy S10+ smartphone for a set period of time. If this sounds all very interesting, here’s how you can partake in the trial. Firstly, you’ll need to fill the online form that Samsung has created specifically for the campaign. Once you’ve filled out the form, customers will need to wait between 22 to 27 June. Qualified customers will receive a call from Samsung’s customer service for confirmation, at which point they can head down to the Samsung Experience Store at The Gardens between 28 June and 7 July 2019....

Aside from excluding LTE support for the Malaysian release, the specs of the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite remains mostly similar to the global version. To recap, the tablet features a 8.7-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1,340 x 800 pixels, dual Dolby Atmos enhanced speakers, and an octa-core processor which is believed to be a MediaTek Helio P22T. For the local market, the new tablet will arrive with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, as well as expanded storage support of up to 1TB via microSD....

This extra large curved monitor measures in at 55 inches across, while still managing to maintain its 16:9 aspect ratio, according to The Verge. You can use it either in the usual horizontal way, or flip it vertically with its height adjustable stand. This way, you get the equivalent of three 24-inch monitors stacked on top of one another. The 1000R curve means that using it this way will have some of the screen almost directly above you if you use it this way....

However, the new launch date for Malaysia is not yet known for the time being. The brief media note that we have received from Samsung Malaysia stated that the new launch date will be revealed in “coming weeks“. Commenting on the issues that were present on early review units, the company’s initial investigation showed that the malfunctions could be related to the exposed areas within the Galaxy Fold’s hinge. Samsung also noticed that there are substances in the phone that have affected its display....

According to SamMobile, the South Korean electronics giant reportedly has a new Exynos chipset in the pipeline and that it would be designed to work hand-in-hand with a Windows PC. The new chipset is also allegedly based on Samsung’s current Exynos 1000 SoC and it could be ultimately be called the Exynos 1. SamMobile goes on to say that the Exynos 1000 SoC may be built upon Samsung’s next-generation 5nm EUV process node and could also be paired with the ARM’s Cortex-X1 CPU....

SamMobile has previously referred to the “SM-G770F” model as the Galaxy S10 Lite. Hence, the appearance of the exact model number in the FCC filings has confirmed the existence of the smartphone. That said, it doesn’t necessarily confirm the name. Currently, the exact specifications or designs of the Galaxy S10 Lite are still not known. However, XDA mentioned that the smartphone is rumoured to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage....

According to LetsGoDigital, the patent was submitted to the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO). As the current moment, there’s very little information regarding the display or what the “S” in SAMOLED even stands for. However, on-going speculation suggests that the display may make an appearance on not just the upcoming Galaxy S11 series, but also the Galaxy Fold 2. This isn’t the first time Samsung has upped the ante with its AMOLED display technology....

The new Samsung Wallet was first announced earlier this year during its Unpacked event. During the announcement, it was revealed that seven countries would be getting the feature, namely South Korea, the US, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. However, according to the company’s recent press release, the official rollout now seems to exclude its home territory of South Korea. Wallet is launching with many of the features previously announced, including the storing of payment cards, loyalty and membership cards, and passwords, combining the functionalities of Pay and Pass that....

During the Dewan Rakyat session earlier today, Education Minister Mohd Radzi Md Jidin said that schools with connection speeds of between 30Mbps and 100Mbps will be upgraded to between 100Mbps and 800Mbps connections. This will be done through the Government Integrated Telecommunications Network (MyGovNet). And this is set to take place starting the middle of next year, though no exact date was provided for this. As for schools in areas without broadband internet coverage, the minister says that they will be connected through VSAT networks....
