One of NVIDIA’s reasons for delaying the card’s launch is because – rather than have a repeat performance with the availability of its RTX 3080 – it wants to ensure that there are more RTX 3070 cards available for consumers at launch. News of the delay is undoubtedly a bitter pill to swallow, but at least the card will be launching within the month. At the same time, many consumers and gamers are hoping that NVIDIA will have some precautionary measures and protections against bots in place; many gamers were unable to purchase the RTX 3080 at launch, primarily because bots unscrupulous resellers had snatched up the cards en masse. The latter then proceeding to resell them online, at prices far higher than the card’s value.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 retails at a starting price of RM2399, and will feature 8GB GDDR6 graphics memory. In terms of performance, NVIDIA has said that the card will be on par, if not greater than its Turing-powered GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. (Source: NVIDIA)
