According to hongxing2020 (@hongxing2020), the leakster who initially broke the news on the alleged existence of the souped up cards, NVIDIA could very well be preparing to officially break its silence on the cards during the middle of December this year. Specifically, the RTX 2060 will be hitting store shelves on 7 December, while the jacked up RTX 3070 Ti 16Gb and RTX 3080 12GB will both be announced from 17 December, with availabilities set for 11 January onwards.

And while not explicitly mentioned by hongxing2020, the launch of these cards may be NVIDIA setting up the stage for the arrival of yet another one of its card next year: the RTX 3090 Ti. To that end, it was also indirectly confirmed by ASUS last week that the card could be the first to be compatible with the new PCIe Gen5 interface.
