Specs-wise, the card is based on NVIDIA’s latest Turing GPU architecture, and features 6GB of GDDR6 graphics memory spread across a 192-bit memory bus. It is also capable of up to 52 trillion Tensor FLOPS and achieving up to five Gigarays per seconds. In terms of performance, Huang told us on stage that the card was more powerful than a GeForce GTX 1070 Ti. In addition, he also said that, thanks to the combination of his company’s RTX and DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) visual technology, the RTX 2060 could sustain average framerates betwen 60 fps and 82 fps. That, by the way, is also at a display resolution of 1440p.
The GeForce RTX 2060 is slated to be available from 15 January onwards, and will retail at an SRP of US$349 (~RM1436). Just as per another report, NVIDIA is sweetening the pot for gamers who the graphics card with a free copy of either Battlefield V or Bioware’s new upcoming IP, Anthem. On a related note, gamers who buy either the RTX 2080 or RTX 2080 Ti will get both titles for free.
