Apparently, Motorola had reportedly begun sending out invites and a teaser to journalists in the form of a GIF. The teaser itself doesn’t reveal much about the phone, but does come with a specific date: 9 September. Obviously, the date is when Motorola intends to announce the existence of the Razr’s successor.
While there’s really nothing else we know about the phone specifically, an initial report by XDA believes that the Motorola would ensure that the phone would run with more RAM – the 2019 reboot has 6GB RAM – as well as run with moderately more powerful Snapdragon 765G. Instead of the less than stellar Snapdragon 710. And while we aren’t holding out our heart in hand, we don’t believe it would hurt Motorola’s chances to give the potential price tag of the Razr successor a long hard think; the 2019 Razr reboot retails for US$1500. It’s a steep price tag, especially when you consider its mid-range specifications, less-than-stellar main camera system and display. In any case, we’ll just have to wait until 9 September to find out what Motorola has planned. (Source: Engadget, XDA)
