The modder in question goes by the handle Temujin123 and they posted up their project over on the ComputerBase forums. In terms of hardware and because of the limited amount of space, the modder chose to go with an AMD build. To that end, they chose a Ryzen 5 Pro 4650G APU and paired it with a mini-STX ASRock X300M motherboard, along with 16GB DDR4-3200MHz RAM. The primary reason behind Temujin123’s choice is, once again, due to space; because of the Dreamcast’s cramped chassis, they aren’t even able to cram in a small form-factor GPU. For cooling, the modder chose to use Noctua’s NH-L9a, while other components include four USB ports, two PCIe Gen3 SSDs, and a 120GB SATA SSD for whatever reason. Oh, and they even threw in a DVD drive too. The end results of this project aren’t quite as refined aesthetically, and understandably so. To reiterate, there is a limited amount of space for the modder to work with and on top of that, they even had to drill additional holes into the chassis.
