Bernama reports that Education Minister Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin, said the new TV-based learning programs will also be offering a series of practice sessions for students facing public examinations this year. He also said that the approach was done for students without internet access, or could only access them via smartphones.
The TV-based learning program came as a result of a survey on devices and gadgets used by students at home. While they have internet access, the implementation of teaching and learning via smartphones are constrained by their small screen size. Those who have devices with larger screens like tablets, desktops or laptops were in a minority. Getting TV-based learning means students can still be learning things that they would in school during the MCO. Just by having access to a TV will still ensure their they get access to their educataion. But if it does come down to it, one wonders what they’ll have to do to sit for their exams?
