One such partner is Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTM) although its partnership with Boost for now only involving KTM Intercity and ETS trains. Specifically, customers can now pay for Intercity train tickets on KTM’s website using Boost e-wallet app. In addition to that, the app can also be used to purchase food and beverage on ETS trains which are handled by Brahims. As for Komuter, both companies already looking into implementing the support for Boost on the train service although there is no confirmed rollout timeline for the time being.
Another rail link company that also supports the cashless payment system is KLIA Ekspres which has even deeper integration with Boost as compared to KTM. This is because customers can actually purchase KLIA Ekspres tickets directly from the Boost app itself in addition to the ability to utilize the Scan & Pay feature at KLIA Ekspres’ physical counters. The online bus ticketing service, CatchThatBus also allows customers to purchase bus tickets directly from the Boost e-wallet app. On another hand, CityCarPark which is responsible for on-street car parks under Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and Kota Bharu Municipal Council (MPKB) jurisdiction not only allow payment to be done through the app but also the ability to extend parking hours.
Not to forget, customers can also now used Boost to pay for their EzCab rides which is rather interesting since this is the second cashless payment system supported by EzCab after Touch ‘n Go eWallet.
