Huawei’s foldable device is also said to measure about eight inches unfolded, and around 4.6 inches when folded. This makes it slightly larger than Samsung’s prototype foldable phone. The report also suggests that Huawei intends to make an official announcement during MWC 2019. That said, it likely won’t actually be available until the second half of the year. It’s also not expected to sell exceptionally well since projected prices are said to be around US$1500 (~RM6290).
At any rate, this means that there are at least three brands who are at the very least planning to release a foldable phone. Sure, Samsung has shown that it’s got a prototype of the idea, but it remains to be seen if LG or Huawei will beat it to the punch when it comes to delivering such a device to consumers first.
