The report comes courtesy of Bloomberg, which says that Horizon Forbidden West will instead be coming in the first quarter of 2022. As you’d expect, the possible delay is attributed to the production challenges brought about by COVID-19 and the various lockdown measures to slow down its spread. This new report corroborates a previous claim by GamesBeat reporter Jeff Grubb, who mentioned the possible delay on his Giant Bomb show. Though at the time, Grubb said that the delay was merely likely. On the other hand, Jason Schreier of Bloomberg says that “it is decided and delayed”.

He also claims that Sony Interactive Entertainment will instead have a State of Play stream in September to make up for the delay.
