References to the service were originally discovered last year within the Play Store framework. However, the new set of screenshots is among the first visual proof of its existence and we guess that it is big enough for Google to even admit that the service is currently on trial.
According to the screenshots, Play Pass provides users with access to a wide range of premium apps and games without ads or in-app purchases. The subscription service apparently costs USD 4.99 (about RM 21) per month although the fee might change once Play Pass is made accessible to the public. Given the nature of the service, it is hard not to compare Google Play Pass to Apple Arcade which will be made available throughout the world later this year including Malaysia. However, we still have to wait for further announcement from Google though since the company didn’t reveal any launch date despite confirming the existing of Play Pass. (Source: Android Police.)
