In order to make full use of KVM, users will need to connect both a mouse and keyboard directly to the monitor, plus the secondary device via the built-in USB-C port. Of course, main PC will still be connected directly through the built HDMI or DisplayPort. Once connected, all the user has to do is press the dedicated KVM button to complete the switch.
The new lineup consists of two models: the M27F and M27Q, with the M27F seemingly the baseline model of the two. Specs-wise, the M27F is a Full HD IPS display that features a 1ms response time, 144Hz refresh rate, and a 95% DCI-P3 8-bit colour accuracy. In addition, the monitor is also HDR ready. Moving on, the M27Q is a slightly more premium variant of the lineup. Where the M27F is HDR Ready, the M27Q comes Vesa Certified DisplayHDR, plus a higher QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution. Further, the display also features a slightly faster 0.5ms response time, an odd refresh rate of 170Hz, and a slightly lower DCI-P3 colour accuracy of 92%.
Regardless of model, however, both gaming monitors are AMD Freesync Premium compatible and come in a uniform size of 27-inches. At the time of writing, Gigabyte did not specify local pricing for the M27F and M27Q, but did state that the monitors will be out between this month and October.
