For the moment, For the King is the only title up for grabs and will remain free until 30 April. Made by IronOak Games, it is an adventure-themed title that seemingly blends both strategy similar to Sid Meier’s Civilisation IP and a turn-based combat system. Another major feature of the game is that it allows co-op and multiplayer gameplay. For the record, the game’s actually been on EGS’ free games list more than once this month, the first time being 17 April. The second title, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, be made available from 30 April until 7 May. Developed by Frictional Games and released back in 2010, the critically acclaimed survival horror barely needs an introduction. The game spanned an expansion to the original game and a sequel in the following years, although the latter did not fare as well as the original game. The third game, Crashlands, will also be available and up for grabs from 30 April until 7 May. At a glance, the gameplay is reminiscent of another indie title, Don’t Starve. That said, the game’s developers, Butterscotch Shenanigans, classify the game as an action RPG, with elements of base-building, grinding, and lots of monster hunting. (Source: Epic Games Store)
