Early reports suggest that the root of the problem is the social media platform’s software development kit (SDK), which many third party applications are using to manage user logins. A very recent thread posted in GitHub revealed that numerous developers had reported with their apps and pinned the blame to Facebook as well. Meanwhile, those who’ve signed in to these applications via other means did not experience the crash. Android users also shared that no such issue was present when accessing the same apps on the Google platform.
