Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, told investors that the new streaming service will combine TV, movies and original productions from the “Disney Vault”. For context, Disney usually re-issue older movies such as Bambi, Dumbo and Snow White for the home video market every few years in the form of DVDs and Blu-ray pressings. In other words, we can expect these classics to be available all-year round, and on demand.

Other content coming to Disney+ includes original programming created specifically for  streaming service. This includes the upcoming Star Wars: Mandalorians, a live-action show directed by Jon Favreau, who also served as the director of Marvel’s first two Iron Man movies. Disney’s CEO also states that new Disney movies will be on the streaming service within a year of its theatrical release, starting with the recently released Captain Marvel. There’s still no news as to when Disney+ will launch. Hopefully, Disney will see fit to make the service accessible for all the Disney fans in Malaysia. (Source: Polygon)
