Aside from the changing its carrier name on the signal bar in order to remind everyone to do the right thing during the on-going Movement Control Order (MCO) period, Digi has also begun to offer free 1GB data to its customers. Deployed on daily basis, the free data can be redeemed through the MyDigi app. Specifically, customers can obtain the free 1GB daily pass through the app’s MyDigi Rewards section from now until 31 March 2020. Usable from 8 AM to 6 PM, the pass will renew itself every day for 14 days once redeemed.

According to the app, the free data pass is available only for Digi Postpaid Mobile and Postpaid Broadband customers. At this moment, we don’t know if this free data pass is being offered to Digi Prepaid customers.  So, if you are a Digi Prepaid customer, help verify it for us and leave a comment below. (UPDATE: Nope, Digi’s official website stated only for Postpaid customers. Prepaid customers will receive a “you not eligible” notice if they tried to redeem it on MyDigi app.) For the meantime, please stay safe by practicing good hygiene, social distancing, and stay home. Together, we do our part in combating the COVID-19 pandemic. (Thanks for the tips, graynoize!)
