The Star reports that DBKL is engaging a private drone firm to evaluate the suitability of this exercise. Tan Sri Annuar Musa, the Federal Territories Minister, was quoted as saying drones are an option to disinfect high-rise buildings, which could save a lot of manpower.

They also have a flight time of 20 minutes, and can cary 16 litres of disinfectant. All that said, it’s not known if DBKL has consulted with the Ministry of Health (MOH) regarding these tests. According to the Malay Mail, Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said recent disinfection operations were done before the MOH could provide guidelines.
