ORIGINAL STORY (10 June / 10:07 AM): AirAsia has unveiled a brand-new Unlimited Pass that allows customers to fly as many times as they want within Malaysia. This announcement came just in time for the start of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) in which interstate travel is allowed once again. Available for purchase starting from 10:00 AM on 11 June until 11:59 PM of 13 June 2020 (see the update note at the start of this article) through the deal section of AirAsia’s website or mobile app, you have to be an AirAsia BIG member before you can get your hands on the pass which costs RM 399. In terms of validity, the Unlimited Pass covers travel period of between 25 June 2020 and 31 March 2021.
It is valid for 16 destinations in total including Alor Setar, Langkawi, Penang, Ipoh, Johor Bahru, Kuala Lumpur, Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu, Kuching, Miri, Bintulu, Sibu, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Tawau and Labuan. Holders of this Unlimited Pass need to book their flights at least 14 days from departure and can only be used for flights that are marked as “100% off”. Of course, the pass does not cover government taxes or fees as well as additional add-ons such as baggage, meal, insurance, and others.
